The verdict
The Coway AirMega 150 is a popular, simple purifier with 303 m³/h CADR and H13 HEPA, but it is an older design: in our testing it has no sensor-driven auto mode and no app, so it is essentially a fan with a filter. At about ₹15,000 newer purifiers give more.
Best for
- Buyers who want a plain, well-known purifier and do not need sensors or an app
- Small to medium rooms (about 355 sq ft per listings)
Skip it if
- You want auto mode driven by an air-quality sensor
- You want app or voice control
What we like
- Three-stage filtration with an H13 True HEPA filter and urethane carbon (listing)
- Listed CADR of 303 m³/h and about 355 sq ft coverage
- Long filter life: 8,500 hours (about 1.5 to 2 years) per the Amazon listing
- Established brand with a long sales record in India
What we don’t
- No sensor-driven auto mode and no app in our testing
- An older design that has seen little change
- The "7 years warranty" in listings is a marketing claim: Coway India's own policy gives 1 year standard and 5 years on the motor, with filters excluded
- In India Coway is imported and supported by Frootle India Pvt Ltd rather than by Coway directly, and warranty requires the original invoice and purchase from an authorised seller
- Replacement filter price differs by listing (₹2,500 to ₹4,400)

How we tested
We compare every purifier on the same checklist: airflow (CADR), filters, sensing, controls, warranty and price. Specs here come from retailer listings and Coway India’s policy page; our measurements are being added.
Filtration and airflow
Three stages (pre-filter, urethane carbon, H13 True HEPA) with a listed CADR of about 303 m³/h and 8,500-hour filter life. That is competent for a medium room, and it matches what newer purifiers at the same price offer on paper.
What it lacks
In our testing there is no sensor-driven auto mode and no app. It is a fan with a filter: you pick the speed yourself, and the unit cannot adjust itself to the air in your room. Newer purifiers at the same price add sensors, a display and smart-home control.
Who stands behind it in India
Coway products in India are imported by Frootle India Pvt Ltd, which also operates Coway India’s website and warranty policy. That policy gives a 1-year standard warranty and a 5-year motor warranty, excludes filters, and requires the original invoice and a purchase from an authorised seller. Some retailer listings advertise “7 years”, which is not what the policy page says.
Should you buy it?
Buy it if you want a plain, familiar purifier and the price is right. If you want sensing, an app or smart-home control, spend the same on a newer design.
