The verdict
The Kent Grand IoT combines RO, UV, UF, alkaline and copper stages with IoT monitoring for about ₹22,000 and offers a 1-year warranty plus 3 years of free service. It has no hot water, and the Kent Service app is rated about 1.6 on Google Play, so the IoT value is unproven.
Best for
- Buyers who want a mainstream brand with a four-year free-service plan and a mid-size tank
- Households that do not need hot water
Skip it if
- You want hot water
- You expect reliable app monitoring and service booking
What we like
- Six-stage purification: RO, UV, UF, TDS control, alkaline and copper, with UV in the tank; 20 L/hour
- IoT unit that Kent says monitors water quality, filter life and RO flow rate through a digital display and the Kent app
- 1-year warranty with 3 years of extended free service (about four years of service in total)
- Around ₹22,000, the lowest price among the premium purifiers here
What we don’t
- No hot water
- The Kent Service app is rated about 1.6 on Google Play from about 14,000 ratings, with reports of crashes, unanswered service requests and an unhelpful support bot
- Free service is not the same as a full warranty; some users say they were asked to pay service charges they thought were covered
- Tank size differs between sources (8 L at retailers, 9 L on Kent’s page) and Kent does not publish a standard AMC price

How we tested
We compare premium purifiers on the same checklist: purification and input-water limits, hot water, mineral control, what the sensors measure, how good the app is, warranty and service, and price. Specs here come from Kent’s page and retailer listings; our measurements are being added.
Purification and build
RO, UV, UF, TDS control, alkaline and copper stages with UV in the tank, at 20 L/hour. It has no hot water and no selectable mineral modes.
What “IoT” means here
Kent says the unit monitors water quality, filter life and RO flow rate, shown on a digital display and in an app. That is useful only if the readings are real and the app works. Kent does not say which water-quality parameter is measured, filter life is an estimate, and the Kent Service app that users review is rated about 1.6 on Google Play, with crashes, unanswered service requests and an unhelpful support bot. We could not confirm that this is the app the IoT unit uses, so we are testing the pairing ourselves.
Warranty and service
One year warranty with three years of free service gives about four years of cover on paper. Free service is not a full warranty, and some users report being asked to pay charges they thought were covered. The reported service problems are the main risk.
Should you buy it?
Buy it if you want a mainstream brand, no hot water and the lowest price among the premium purifiers. Do not pay extra for “IoT” until the app and pairing work for you.
Key specs
| Type | Water purifier, RO + UV + UF, IoT |
|---|---|
| Purification | RO + UV + UF + TDS control + alkaline + copper, with UV in tank; six stages per Reliance Digital |
| Tank | 8 L (retailers) or 9 L (Kent) |
| Hot water | None |
| Mineral control | TDS controller plus alkaline and copper stages; no selectable modes |
| Input TDS limit | Not confirmed in our sources |
| Purification rate | 20 L/hour |
| Sensors and what they measure | Per Kent: water quality, filter life and RO flow rate. Which water-quality parameter is not specified; if it is TDS it is a conductivity reading that does not detect bacteria, pesticides or heavy metals |
| App and IoT | Digital display and the Kent app; real-time monitoring of water quality, filter life and flow rate (per Kent) |
| App rating and reliability | The Kent Service app is rated about 1.6 on Google Play (about 14,000 ratings) with reports of crashes, unanswered requests and service-charge disputes; it may not be the same app the IoT unit uses |
| Display | Digital real-time display |
| Warranty | 1 year warranty + 3 years extended free service (Kent); retailers vary |
| Running cost | Not published; no standard AMC price list |

Questions buyers ask
What does the Kent Grand IoT actually measure?
Kent says it monitors water quality, filter life and RO flow rate, shown on a digital display and in the Kent app. It does not say which water-quality parameter. A TDS reading would show what the RO removes but not bacteria, pesticides or heavy metals.
Is the Kent app any good?
The Kent Service app is rated about 1.6 on Google Play from about 14,000 ratings, with reports of crashes, unanswered service requests and a support bot that does not help. It may not be the exact app the IoT unit uses, so check before relying on it.
What warranty does the Kent Grand IoT have?
Kent offers a 1-year warranty with 3 years of extended free service. Free service is not the same as a full warranty, so ask what is covered.
Does the Kent Grand IoT have hot water?
No. We found no hot water feature on this model.
